The VGA adapter sold by Amiga kit (did you mean that?) is sadly purely wires, nothing else whatsoever.  Personally I have had poor results from it on my TFT with MAJOR vertical banding.  Basically every line of pixels was lighter/darker than the line next to it making it completely unusable.
It looks a lot better on a CRT but I can still slightly make out some banding to a MUCH lesser extent, probably not noticable if I hadnt been looking for it (although I have a keen eye so I might have).  The fact its on the CRT is interesting though as otherwise I would assume its a sync issue with the TFT.  I will have to take a photo at some point to see if anyone recognises the symptom.

I wouldnt swear its a problem with the cable though. Perhaps my A1200 has a faulty video output.  It never did it when it used to be on an old interlaced RGB monitor, but its been in storage for years since then. Works fine over composite though so I dunno what to blame.

Theres a reason the scandoubler costs almost £100 and the VGA adapter does not I guess.  :-D

Theres no way I can rationalise spending that much money on the Amiga though.  Already buying the 030 I think was a bit OTT but I wanted more RAM and it was the most practical way to get it.
