Efika and SAM and OS4, OH my!

 Trying to understand if the lack of OS4 on efika is contractual or actual board limit.

 Are both boards not PPC ,using PCI/AGP graphics,AHI sound ?Does Amiga OS4 even use any custom chips?

 (On another front,visited the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club and interesting to see people using latest wireless widescreen dual-core laptops writing software and designing plug-in boards for 25 year-old C64s !!!!)Reminds me of people using huge new trucks and trailers taking restored old cars and tractors to show to each other and for the general public to spend five minutes admiring before returning to modern complexity.

 Designing something simple and elegant is certainly complicated!

 I'd BUY the flamin' OS4.x if it would run on the efika.I already BOUGHT Amiga 3.1(and official 3.1 ROM way back in 97 or  so) ,3.5, and 3.9 for my Commodore Amigas and AF 6 for my x86.

 Don't see much difference with Sam in that SAM was sold long before AOS 4.1 released to run on it.

  Since AmigaOS 4 isn't being sold bundled with ANY hardware,it is odd you want to die to preserve its "purity"? :-D

 I haven't found either of my erikas trying to seduce my Amigas but I wonder if the Amigas haven't  been coveting the newer faster PPC hardware of the efika.Especially since no one is selling a new upgrade cpu for the classic Amigas.

 IF(and it is a big if) I knew how I would buy a copy of AOS 4.1 and substitute code where needed to make it run on my efika.All I lack is knowledge,expertise,and experience! :crazy:
