In my town we had an automotive dealer who advertised heavily on the local FM station and had a wonderful website with excellent pictures of the vehicles and staff. Kept it up to date, had music, etc.
All very good;...until it was abruptly shut down for selling cars the y didn't have title to! Customers found themselves liable for payments on loan for cars that couldn't be licensed and their previous  vehicle gone but not the payments.
There are strange businesses out there.

Folks,I think that Amiga Forever is all the "official" Amiga OS we're ever going to see.

Cloanto has tweaked it to something between 3.1 and 3.9.

I suppose if you are REAL hard-core you could build your own Amiga hardware minimig style and buy Amiga OS 3.9 for it.I see Amiga OS 3.5 and 3.9 is still available for sale from dealers,or at least their websites show it.

Of course it could be said that anyone who hasn't upgraded to at least 3.1 or better isn't serious.

Now that memory is so cheap and old Motorola  processors as well,I wonder if anyone has the expertise and interest to make a processor upgrade board for the old machines ? How many old A2000s  still could be easily? jumped up to '040. We are in "Model T" mode here;hobbyists enjoying playing with a piece of technology that was important in the development of the industry, but that has since fallen behind the standards of today.

I doubt the rest of us will ever see Amiga OS 4.0 before"the One who left us here returns for us at last"

I think the only people who can legally have OS4 must own an AmigaONE or one of the PPC upgrade boards, per the license.

That is perhaps a few hundred or few thousand out of the millions of Amigas sold. :rtfm:
