Very interested but price has to be a factor.I need to know how much before committing.Have two 1000s so I guess one could be a chip donor.

Yesss, by all means post TODAY'S  projected costs as all I could find were 2 year info.
Thanks to the member who pointed out  A 500 is  a better donor( and 500 is more common and cheaper).

My preference based on the 2004 prices would be the  tested board minus the IC  chips.

SLIGHTLY RELATED QUESTION : my recently purchased new old stock 1200 motherboard appears to have no 68020 chip on it...is a base 020 necessary if an accelerator card is attached?

I see a business oportunity  for someone who knows how to troubleshoot and repair boards :make a deal with Andrew !
Andrew could recoup some funds from currently unsalable inventory and 15 or 20 Amigans could be made happier. I am assuming a lot heree, including some boards would have to be scapped.

Or maybe someone could get the rights to produce blank ,drilled boards and clear documentation.
