Help on PS Repair
« on: November 13, 2007, 01:48:22 AM »
I acquired a Phoenix CPS-500 power supply. It has 3 100W/60Hz 3 prong outlets and a cable for connecting to the Amiga. It also has a 5 Amp fuse.  I tested the 3 outlets and they all work.

I plugged the cable to the Amiga in and I get nothing at all. What is the easiest way to test wether its my Amiga 1200 or the PS that is shot? It would seem strange to me that the outlets would work but not the Amiga power.

I am guessing a multimeter but I have no, zero, zip knowledge of how they work so I guess I am asking for a suggestion on an easy and safe multimeter.
