I am having problems with an A4000T that I just received in the mail. It got bounced around pretty good even though it was packaged pretty good. It looks like it got dropped as the front bottom of the tower was bent in maybe 3/4 of an inch. This was enough to spring the cards in the tower (Toaster, Flyer, 1 more). The accelerator had also come loose and was loose in the case. I put it in another computer and it is fine, thank goodness. I say that because it ended up being a 060@66 card which I didn't know when buying the computer. I'm sure the computer worked when shipped because I trust the guy and there were photos of it working. I cannot get any video out of the computer. Nothing. No flickering, no nothing. Completely dead. The rest of the computer seems ok as you can hear the HD load, load a disk, reset it from the keyboard and everything sounds OK. I replaced the little video card that plugs into the motherboard that you plug your monitor into and it made no difference. I plugged a Picasso IV in and I also got nothing out of it. The motherboard looks fine physically. I don't see anything obvious that is broke. Right now I have the computer stripped down to just the floppy hooked up and nothing else. No cards, etc. Still nothing. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong or what area of the computer and motherboard I should look? What chip might it be? Any help at all would be appreciated. I'll hate to have to send it away to have fixed because with shipping you are already talking $200 plus for the repair. HELP!!!
