A4000T OS 3.1 question
« on: December 30, 2006, 03:37:14 PM »
I know that there was a different 3.1 os for the a4000t computer than for the other Amiga models.  My question has to do with when you upgrade to os3.5 and os3.9, there is not a special version for the a4000t.  Does the upgrade program recognize the different computer and load some different files or are they all the same for all Amiga models?  If this was the case would it make it ok to start with the standard 3.1 os system on the a4000t (rather than the a4000t specific) and the upgrade makes the a4000t changes or are there files from the a4000t 3.1 os that always stay the same through the upgrades?   Dan

My problem is that I am going to start from the beginning and create a whole new system on the a4000t.  There is an error on my a4000t 3.1 install disk which prevents it from installing.  Do I have to acquire new a4000t 3.1 disks or can I start with 3.1 disks from my a4000 desktop and the correct files for the a4000t will then be installed when I upgrade with my 3.9 cd?
