Ideal hardware for classic gaming?
« on: August 01, 2006, 09:36:51 PM »
I just purchased an Amiga 1200 from Amigakit.com.

I also purchased an accelerator card with a 68030 chip running at 50 mhz and 64 megs of ram.

It has a 4 gig HD and it is running OS3.9.

So my question is weather or not this would be a great system for playing those classic games. I know that I have the ability to play the AGA games but I've heard that some games might not be compatible with the 1200 or certain accelerator cards.

I haven't actually used the new computer yet because I am waiting for a power supply to arrive in the mail.

Thanks for your input!

I'm pretty sure the accelerator card is from Microrobotics. The guy at Amigakit was nice enough to install it for me.

Thanks for the responses. I'm sure I'll be hanging around here allot.
