Honestly, I wouldn't bother... If you really want Kick2.x then an A500+ or A600 already has it, and ECS too.

Much better is an A1200 which will give you Kick3.0/3.1 as standard, with better expansion options, and I gather that 3.1 is the "preferred" option for all Amiga models if you are going to upgrade them anyway.

That is true, orb85750, some software might not work properly or even at all.

But I didn't suggest throwing your A500 away, and if the software (likely to be ancient games, yes?) you really really *need* to run is one of those then you can just keep on using it on the old machine.
