As others have said, it depends. It depends on several factors:

- what does the machine have
- Is there visible damage from a battery that does not work? Be more concerned with damage than if it works or not.
- Check ebay - it is worth what people are willing to pay and people pay more in the winter months, especially in the fall than they do in the summer.
- what extras does it have
- PPC and 68060 cards make a huge difference as does the OS and memory

If you really want one, perhaps start with a basic A4000 unit and add parts over time. Its more fun that way and keeps your initial costs down.

I have one on ebay right now and I have no idea what it could go for. From history, it could go for anywhere from 600 to 1800. I would expect closer to 600, but you never know.

Hi all,

I've come to the point where I need to get rid of my A4000 and am posting here to get an idea of a reasonable sale price. Here's what it has:

CPU: 68040
Memory: 2MB Chip, 12MB Fast
DVD-ROM drive
40GB internal hard disk drive
2 internal floppy drives
CyberGraphX 4 graphics card
AmigaOS 3.9 installed - original installation media also provided
Original keyboard and mouse included

Also, the case is in top condition with *no* yellowing.

How much do you think I should list this for?
1 x A500, Hi-toro 4000 :)
1 iMac OSx, 1 Mac Mini
1 Wintel 03 svr
