AROS the best chance for x86 Amiga
« on: August 25, 2006, 08:55:32 PM »
It appears that the best chance to ever running on x86 appears to be AROS. I have never gotten AROS to boot, let alone install.

But, a lot of work has been done on this endeavour. Not saying this is perfect, but realistically we need an x86 version of the OS since no one is making Amiga hardware anymore.

It's too bad that the community could not consolidate on a single os way forward. There are a lot of people developing, but we are fragmented.

My 2 cents
1 x A500, Hi-toro 4000 :)
1 iMac OSx, 1 Mac Mini
1 Wintel 03 svr
