Hard drive not recognised
« on: August 05, 2006, 06:13:00 PM »
I have an AD_SCSI hard drive controller in my A2000. The drive will boot fine, but when I try to format it using OS3.1 iunstall disk, it does nto recognise the drive or the id it is on.

I never have this trouble with my A3000. What am I missing here?

Thanks,
S

I ask you to bear with me, I have been away fromt he amiga for a few years and am only beginning to remember how to fiddle with the startup-sequence. Would it be too mucht o ask which files to edit, where they are and what needs to be added exactly?

I apprciate this.

Click once on the HDToolBox icon, then go to the menu and select Information. In the ToolTypes box, change the SCSI_DEVICE_NAME tooltype from scsi.device to the correct device name for your SCSI controller. Then run HDToolBox and it should pick up your drives.
