When carrying an A500 downstairs to use on the big TV (when i was a kid) I dropped it and it tumbled and bounced end over end down the stairs before cracking open against the front door!
Very carefully put it back to together having opened it up to reseat everything (I've always been fairly technically minded) and happily it all worked fine :-)
I do remembered being both mortified AND terrified that it might be broken!
