So far as I am aware, the 800k Mac format is a double-sided version of the 400k which uses a variable spindle speed.  That being the case, no, it would not be possible to format on the Amiga.

I have successfully used CrossMAC for high-density Mac floppy and Zip disks.  Anymore, though, you can accomplish the same tasks with PC-formatted 1.44MB disks (or FAT32-formatted USB drives if USB is an option.)

Good God if I adopted some of the things I've been called as handles I'd never be allowed in forums, maybe even on-line period.
