Heck, for that matter, setting up my new 4000/040/25 I found people talking about how even 3.9 is too heavy for the 25MHz 040. 3.8 works just fine for me on the 040/25 and I even run it on my 4000/060/50. I tried installing 3.9 over 3.8 on my 1200/060/50 and it cause some problems, so I took the time to put it back to 3.8. My take: just stay at 3.8 unless there is something mind-bogglingly compelling about 3.9 or above.
