Mind you, it doesn't take much. I'm sponsoring Cardiff City FC for two matches (Nottenham Forest this month and Birmingham City next month). It just means that I've bought VIP tickets and reserved a table in their lounge for the games... and as it is business sponsorhip I get to write it off on my taxes. 
Is that similar to how Commodore sponsored an entire football arena?
