Bad luck for WPA. So it is WEP and network possibly cracked within 15 minutes by any bad geek passing by, or no WIFI at all for miggies :-/

You mean in three minutes or less?

(The link to the original article does not work, but the excerpt is there. There are better articles out there, though.)

IIRC, WPA can be cracked in a relatively short amount of time now, too, and WPA2 is currently the most hardened encryption.

Now, something you can do is use a firmware which allows for multiple SSIDs.  I use DD-WRT on a WAP54G, and this feature works, but apparently does not work well multiple encryption types, even though you can configure them.  It is security by obscurity, but you could set up a hidden SSID running WEP secondary (or beyond) to your primary SSID running WPA2.

This configuration did work to allow me to use WPA2-AES as my primary SSID, with WPA-TKIP as a secondary to allow my LifeDrive to connect.

Aside from spare time and programming skills, I understand that WPA and WPA2 are pretty processor intensive, so it would seriously bog down our 68k Amigas.  Unless the encryption is offloaded to the card, but such cards would be CardBus and not compatible with the Amiga, anyway.

Although, PCI cards might work.  I would love to see an adapter to allow a Mini-PCI device to attach to the PCI bus on the Picasso IV or the CyberStorm.
