My A530 had four hard drives linked via the internal SCSI cable, a Zip drive and a CD-ROM using the external.  That's a full SCSI chain, including the controller.

If you can, get a GuruROM, too.

ID7:- A530 controller
ID6:- external CD/RW
ID5:- external DDS3 Dat drive
ID4:- external 73Gb SCA ultra scsi
ID3:- external 73Gb SCA ultra scsi
ID2:- external 73Gb SCA ultra scsi
ID1:- A1200 Blizzard PPC scsi conroller
ID0:- scsi2ide bridge/IDE2CF adapter/4GB CF card (in the A530).

so yeah i'd say its happy with multiple drives.

 :-)

That CF card setup is really cool.  What program did you use to run the DDS3 drive?

Why the hell do you need so much space on your Amiga Hard drives??  I`ve been struggling to fill a 20GB drive for about 7 years now...

Just curious...

Bugger that... I want to know why his A500 has such a poor Ethernet implementation when he has the apparent cash to plonk down on 73GB SCSI hard drives

Well, it seemed to work like charm as it was supposed to do.  Next thing to do is move some old Sun external harddrives behind A530 :)   disk-to-disk backup !

The 411 and 611 boxes work very well with my Amiga systems :-)
