Would this CF card work with A590 XT interface?

8/16-bit 8GB IDE CF card

According to the information in the auction, this card can work in 8-bit mode.  The XT interface on the A590 is (from my understanding) essentially an 8-bit IDE interface.  Would this card work?

I may just buy one to see for myself.  I'd assume a few things:

1) The XT interface would tell the card to work in 8-bit mode
2) The XT interface in concert with the CF/IDE adapter asserts the right signals
3) The XT interface has the latest ROM to support the large size of the card
4) The A590 I have in my possession actually works

Yeah, Tahoe made a good point about the CF vs IDE thing.  I'm probably just fishing for a reason to buy the 8GB CF card  Could use it to replace the 4GB in my 1200 instead...
