Re: Bundled Versions of the A1200?

The local Amiga computer store where I bought my A1200 BITD (Software Plus) did not come with anything besides OS3.0 on discs. No bundles of anything fun and came in a rather plain and boring blue striped white box.

Only time I saw A1200 bundles were through mail order houses. They'd typically throw in something like a game or two (your choice sometimes!) or a paint program. Another mail order place might have offered up a WP instead.

Maybe I need my memory jogged, but I do not remember any official C= sanctioned "bundles" ever being offered at the time. In stores, they certainly were not marketed as such by their outer box, unlike the various A500 incarnations, packages and bundles. Seemed to me, even the mail order houses were simply just adding bonuses of software that they happened to be sitting on, with the purchase of an A600 or A1200. If they were ever reimbursed by C= or not, I do not know - but I highly doubt it!  ;)
