Check to be sure your jumper settings are correct on that Combo card, but you say you have new ram? From Softhut? It's possible that your 4mb SIMM is bad. I bought 3 SIMMS from them a little while back and one was defective. Froze the system, just as you are experiencing. Not a big deal. E-mail Joe and tell him the problem. He'll have you send it back for replacement is all.

If you're running OS3.1, you do not need the gvpscsi icon in the Expansions drawer. I'd delete that and see if it works then. Only 1.3 and below required it be there.
