Desiv is right. This is not a USB device. You must turn off your Miggy before inserting the CF card if you want it to be recognized by the computer. You can't simply remove a SCSI or IDE HD while the machine is on, insert another and expect it to work. Same exact concept.

Still, it's a cool device and a worthwhile one for transferring files to and fro.

If you try to how swap a CF card plugged into an IDE adapter, I believe it will freeze the computer. Or you'll lose the ability to read/write to and fro the device until you reset.

Perhaps one could use that SCSI stopping program found on Aminet to achieve a faux hot-swap. Then start up again? Dunno, never tried. I bought a Deneb USB card and now life is so much more interesting again for my Miggy  :-)

@Huxley_D: you'll be fine. Only real snafu would like in the termination of the SCSI chain or powering the CF card adapter. Make sure that puppy has +5 going to it! Usually has a floppy power connector directly on board...
