Question for A1000 SCSI hard drive users...
« on: March 29, 2009, 09:56:40 PM »
Before I go to the trouble of wiring up an 86pin A1000 adapter to 100pin Zorro II (I already have the parts) for use with a 2091, I was wondering what most of you have done to get your A1000 HD equipped. Internal design would be the obvious superior choice (AdIDE), but an external solution might be "easier" to secure than one of  those puppies.

I'm not going to have a fancy case either, so will have to think of something to put all that junk in. Don't really want my A1000 to look like a freak accident! lol

I just read an article from Amazing Computing (volume 4, #11 '89) on that Toolbox. It was entertaining and mirrored much of our experiences whenever we try to upgrade *ANY* Amiga computer. In this case, the reviewer ended up sending his back for a full refund after 3 or so months of monkeying around and trying to get it to work. lol
