You should try FS-UAE (http://fengestad.no/wp/fs-uae) Best Amiga Emulator under Linux ;)

Unfortunately, it is really slow compared to e-uae. Hopefully future versions will improve.

Have you activated the JIT? When I remember right it is activated with a parameter.

I had setup a page for it:
http://www.aros-platform.de/html/fs_uae.html

uae_cachesize

Thanks for the hint. Seems to improve slightly, but still much slower than e-uae.

I made a small lame benchmark with the famous "AKsack.wav" ;)
Result (both with JIT enabled):

FS-UAE: 16:59
E-UAE: 1:24 min

As you can see, there is a huge difference in speed.

By the way, on the host system itself without UAE (Core 2Duo E8400 @ 30 GHz, Ubuntu 12.10), I get the conversion done in 0:06 min. This result is equal to a 2.5 GHz G5 under MorphOS.

I am not a FS-UAE + Linux specialist (I use WinUAE)

Well, I just benchmarked WinUAE aswell. Under Wine, on Ubuntu. Surprise: Even with one additional emulation layer, it is faster than the "native" UAE derivates: Conversion is done in 0:46 min.

Overview of all results:
FS-UAE: 16:59 min
E-UAE: 1:24 min
WinUAE (Wine): 0:46 min
Ubuntu native: 0:06 min

AROS native on that machine: 0:09 min. Not that bad...
