Any Hivelytracker users out there? (OS 3.x, Paula)
« on: December 10, 2007, 08:57:41 AM »
I tried to get Hivelytracker 1.4 to work on my A1200 desktop yesterday with no success. It starts up fine, I can load mods, but when I press play, it simply freezes. I am using AHI V6 from Aminet with Paula. Any ideas? (Yes, I know there is a Hivelytracker forum, but I thought I'd ask here first...)

Do other AHI programs work? Does "Unit 0" make a noise when you do the test sound in AHI prefs?

I don't know (yet) if other programs work. Regarding "Unit 0": What actually is this? It gave me no test sound when I tried, but should it do so? I have selected Paula as AHI device, test sound works fine with it, I tried several modes (e.g. 8 bit, 14 bit).

Edit: BTW, if you DO ask on the hivelytracker forum, syphus should see it and he uses hively on a1200/paula/os3.x.

Thanks for the hint, maybe I contact him directly.

68030 is too slow to usefully use hivelytracker.

hmm... OK... maybe the binary should be named "ht-060" instead of "ht-020"  ;-)

I should really get my 1200T working again. Or build an Aros box...
