Problems with Warp3D
« on: February 12, 2003, 11:29:00 AM »
I have installed Warp3D onto my A1200 but it won't seem to work.

Whenever I use a game (say Freespace demo or Payback) I either get a blank screen with the game running but not graphics (Payback), or a white screen with some funny graphics on.

I have also tried the demos that have been supplied with it. "Gears68k" comes up with garbige on the screen, and the PPC version comes up with an exception error. "Warp Test" comes up OK and displays nearly everything but the only way I have been able to see the graphic is to switch off texture shading and goto gurad(sp?).

Anyone have any ideas?

I am using version 4.2 from hyperions website.

Here is what happens:

It doesn't always come up the same, but it does a similar thing everytime.

@Karlos
Went all the way down to 800x600x8, shut down all programs, got rid of backdrop and still it came up the same. The PPC version comes up with a memory protection error or something.

Who actually makes Warp3D? Maybe I could email them too.

:cry:

@Mr_Capehill

I had read through the readme's actually, but admittidly I had forgotten to check the authors of the program. Plus it was a side thought I had when I was writing the message.

@Karlos

Thanks, I'll lha up all the settings and get them off to you. Really appreciate all your help on this!

Sorry, didn't mean to be rude. But still I think that readmes are good to read :-D

Don't worry about it! ;-)

I do read them when I am having problems, but I tend to only look at the info I need at that moment.
