Do people even watch traditional TV-type programs these days? Why transfer all that cow-dung on to the internet - I mean was there some kind of mass protest to make cow-dung internet accessible? Do people still watch soaps and mainsteam news. I'm so out of touch.

Such a rich variety of independent media, entertainment, information and knowledge from multiple sources and formats on the net already. Can't believe people still have time for terrestrial-type spoon feed programming.

EDIT...
oh, wait a minute, just noticed:

Probably a good thing since it sucks up a lot of power, not very eco-friendly.

I see OP is clearly still getting his daily does of mainstream socialist programming.

CritAnime: Really? That's outrageous. I was born, bred and still live in the UK. I've never paid the BBC's TV tax - despite numerous toothless spam mail threatening to imprison me.

Well done you.  Does the make you feel all warm inside. The BBC provides a decent wealth of both TV and Radio services.  I think the TV licence is very reasonable and I for one am glad we have got the BBC

I absolutely do feel good about it. I already pay more than enough taxes for so called "social services" which I never use, lazy dole-mongers, bailouts for bankers and wars in foreign countries - none of which has anything to do with me as an individual. Don't see why I should have to pay for your multimedia BBC entertainment too.

Pay for what you use...

Thought I made it perfectly clear that I'm not a consumer of BBC tripe. Seems those wonderful BBC edumakation broadcasts have neglected to include a series on comprehension.

Sparky: Not even going to consider the clearly ill-conceived opinion of a foreigner on the issue of English taxation - old chap.

Runequester: See above.

You *DO* realize that my comments were directed towards Bloodline and JJ, two people I've known for years and consider friends, not some imbecile ....

No, due to the fact that your comment was unaddressed and posted in a public forum, I didn't realise that at all. However, what I *DO* now realise, and almost find unbelievable, is that you're attempting to have a private conversation in a public internet forum. I *DO* also realise that this forum provides you and your "friends" with a free and easy to use private PM service. Question is: *DO* you realise this?

who seems to think he's superior, since he's a "Briton", yet he's got an American as his avatar. Wow. You're just *SO* "above" me, aren't you? I love getting into a battle of wits with the mentally challenged. Then again, you're probably not worth the time I've spent typing this, but I digress.

Yes, I think I may very well be above you and that fact has nothing to do with your ingrained inferiority complex at me being British and you being an American - it's simply because you're not very bright.

You might like to consider the fact that, in this thread, I've expressed nothing but my dislike of the British Broadcasting Corporation. Notice the word British in that title? The BBC, for many, is a worshipped British institution. In many cases, adulation of the BBC simply boils down to the fact that it's an internationally recognised "British" brand and so some people get a sick jingoistic pride from its existence. They don't seem to consider the fact that the BBC is virtually a private enterprise that makes 100s of milions in pure profit every year, yet still demands people pay them an unjustified government enforced tax. The BBC don't ask for this money in a nice "democratic" way either, there is no public debate as to whether the people want it. No, they do it in a typically socialist/communist gangster-like fashion, full of threats towards supposedly "free" adult individuals.

I'm clearly not a blind patriot (unlike your average American) but I'm also not going to listen to the illinformed _opinion_ of a foreigner who doesn't live in this country and so isn't subject to the BBC's tax. He's not expected to pay the tax - I am. Clear?

And yes, imo, Jack Nicholson is one of the greatest actors to have ever existed. Far better than any of the popular lilly-livered British actors - with their "polite and gentlemanly" characterisations of British people. So bang goes your theory that I'm some kind of bigoted Brit.

Don't worry, Kiddo, there's nothing you could ever say that would ever hurt my feelings. Everyone here knows I sh!t bigger than you.....

Agree, if they have a functioning braincell, they'll easily recognise the colossal magnitude of your bull-sh!t. I certainly appretiate it - it's impressive. I must say.

Of course, you must live a miserable existence, if you have nothing better to do, than to troll.

I've been a member of this forum since 2006 with a total of 56 posts. I spend my life trolling dimwits like yourself - clearly.

Hmmm ... sorry to be the bringer of bad news but I'm english!  Well "British" anyway, and I get the feeling I've been British longer than yourself as well .. you are 12 years old yes ?

It just so happens I moved .. hard to believe I know, after all who would possible want to leave dear old blight when it's populated by delightful souls such as yourself ?

So how about you stop being a cretin and tootle off back to your mums basement and don't come out again till you've gone through puberty - old chap!

You're not here, don't pay English taxes, so the same applies: no interest in your half-baked opinion whatsoever. So button it.

hmmmm, each and every post, a unique pearl of glimmering wisdom.

We've got one fellow, who's completely lost his rag due to his own inept ability to communicate effectively and, through the haze of rage, he somehow sees every word I write as an invitation to have a physical fight. I guarantee you, he'll be posting his address soon ranting: "come on then mate, you've got me address...come on then...let's have it out!!! I'll do ya!!! I swear!!" LOL, hilarious.

Another, who's so dense that the implied irony of a socialist/communist tax being levied by government on behalf of a profiteeing business has completely passed him by. He's also resorted to the classic response of an ignoramus: swearing. (but not quite fully formed swearing - 'cause it's naughty and he might get banned! and that would be the end of his pathetic sad life.)

One whose posts clearly reveal his split peronality disorder and an acute inability to follow the logical sequence of events which led to our initial altercation. I've no idea what planet this guy's from, but I'm looking at his profile pic and, hmmmm....

and finally, one who you can clearly tell vaguely grasps the odious concept of Fascism (true definition: union of state and companies) But it's all so very vague in his mind, like the mist of dew shimmering in the crisp morning air. He can't quite get a grip on the subject, so he's taken the typical idiot's route and quoted a derisory one liner he heard somewhere, once before, the last time he remembers comprehending the topic being discussed. Oh, it's all so complex. Better just try to act smart and pull out a clichéd one-liner.

Wow, I almost forgot why I rarely post in this forum, full of "special people". Thanks for reminding me. Bye.
