I know how you feel. Back in Oct 2000, my gf and I moved to Dallas. My Amiga 3000 had been acting up before the move and when we moved and I set my Amiga up, it wouldn't not boot. I tried everything and I couldn't get it too boot.
I was distraught about it and finally relented, putting it in the closet. A day later, I couldn't stand it so I took it out of the closet and took it totally apart and it turned out that part of the LED assembly was grounding out on the rack mount case it's in. I put some black tap to insulate the LED connections and it's worked every since but I don't use it much anymore.
