I think this is some of the best news we have heard in a long, long time.  While I too would like to see the Amiga OS become totally hardware independant, I suppose we have to wait for a bit.  After all, Rome wasn't built in a day.
However, all the news about the improvements in the software is encouraging.  I have always liked IBrowse.  If it is updated with modern features, that is a big bonus.  I must admit my skeptecism regarding the rebirth of the Amiga is starting to fall away.
The hardware support is also encouraging.  Legacy support for the floppy drives but more importantly, SCSI which I still think is a better system though it will go away on grounds of cost.  The addition of USB, an integrated TCP/IP stack for modems and ethernet cards, and PCI /AGP slots are beautiful things.  It looks like we may have finally turned the corner.

Adasha, it may not be cutting edge but it is enough to do everything you want to do.  It is far more cutting edge than my old A3000, which continues to do most of what I want it to do.  Once they get money from sales of the low cost A1.5 G3 motherboard, they can invest the money to design/build more current hardware.  Have a little faith man!
