Yup, the British idea of foreign cultures is basically:

You're all foreign and we're the best. I say that because I'm a Brit who's married to someone from Spain, or to be precise, the Basque country and have seen the attitude towards her. I lived in San Sebastian, Northern Spain, for 5 years and was never once treated like a foreigner. I learnt to speak Spanish there, and a bit of Euskari, and will go back to live there very shortly. It's not that I'm not proud to be English, as I am, but apart from Good Beer & TV, what else have we got here? (Mind you, better than being in the US, at least we have HISTORY...lol, and any country that has a "World Series", and "World Champions" yet only includes...um.....itself.....insular comes to mind!!).
