Hi guys: i have seen some projects of people adding a TEac slimline drive to their original A1200 housing

I was wondering if this model: Teac CD 224E would be good for this, and what kind of cables/hacks/modifications should i do to my machine in order to fit the slimline drive in the A1200 case

 The bits & pieces:

 - A laptop CD (I prefer a Teac CD 224W, who is a CD reader/writer);

 - An IDE to laptop CD adapter, easily found on Epay;

 - IDE split cable or an IDE splitter like IDEfix99 or better;

 - A Dremel tool or scalpels;

 - Sand paper;

 - Two bottles of Absolut Vodka!

 - Lots of patience.

 That's the way I done it, back in time...:cheers:
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

Those of you, who have installed the slimline CD inside A1200, have you had to remove the mobo RF shielding?

 Of course! With the tinfoil installed there is no room to fit the CD inside.
