Do you have the original Overdrive power supply?

For the picture in TBBoAH, I can't see the supply rate. Probably is 12V (with an internal regulator for the +5V line).

 Check it with a multimeter.
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

Then a little advice: open the unit and see where the power conector goes to. If it goes to a LM7805 (don't care about the prefix) or LM317 or a similar power transistor-like device, it's a 12V power supply you have.

The Amiga PCMCIA port cannot handle more than 100mA in the +5V rail. That's why you cannot feed the drive directly from there. Plus: if you are using the original "brick" PSU, you have a problem: A1200 + hd + accelerator + PCMCIA (just the card, not the CD-ROM)= more than the original power can handle.

That's why you have a problem with the Winchester.

Turn your Amiga on with no other external "extras" and wait until the revalidation process end.
