 Looks pretty much like a virus issue (Lamer Executor comes on my mind).

 PM me if you need a antivirus .dms image to scan your Amiga after  the salvage.

 Currently I use SFS on my Miggy (FFS is so slooooooooow), and I had various issues with FFS.
