Hello again everyone.
A while back you may remember that I could not get my Sandisk Ultra II 2gb cf cards working. Well that was due to me failing to realize that the length of the ide cables made a difference in the A1200 / A600 when using cf cards.
Well I finally got a hold of a few more cables and had everything up and running for what only seems to be a month or so. This is strange and please tell me if this makes sense to you all....and please excuse me if this matter has been touched upon.
Last night I recorded a few samples with my trusty dss8+ sampler and saved them to the now internal cf. I then later on loaded the samples to continue work and when it loaded it seemed as though it only loaded what it felt like....ie bits of the original sampled file. So I figured that maybe it was a fluke and sampled / saved again. When I loaded it did the same thing...only pieces of the original sounds back to back.
I thought to save that same sample to a cf card via pcmcia and load that to see if I had the same results....well it loaded fine as it should but when loaded again from the ide cf it was all screwed up again. I switched cables, I switched readers, I switched cards...hell I even switched amigas!
I narrowed the issue to the card itself. Now it seems to load the programs just fine along with wb3.1. However my music / mods are all glitched out when loaded....and not in a cool way!
This card is brand spankin' new and it is *not* a fake card. In short it seems as though it doesn't want to save files correctly all of a sudden anymore. I even installed a program to see if it would work and it does! I loaded these same sound files from the pcmcia and those worked so it's not the amiga.
Any word on what the issue might be? Has anyone heard of this happening out of the blue?
