I would like to know HOW he got the attention of touch arcade.
A review there (and they even had "preliminary" reviews) means quite a LOT of $$$ in sales...

He got the attention of TouchArcade because I am a co-founder and I am a massive retro nut. Am I going to play Battle Squadron more on my iPad than my Amiga 2000 '020? Probably not. But I am genuinely excited to see the kids exposed to these excellent games through a new medium.

I've got dozens / hundreds of Apple II and Amiga floppies in my basement that are way more gaming fun than Crysis. I enjoy seeing when we get back to the formula that matters.

And thanks for the TouchArcade compliments. :-)

I also run http://www.bytecellar.com - btw.

An iOS game that was "inspired" by Amiga could get a little bit of Touch Arcade attention? :)

Well, just kidding. Anyway, I don't know how did you managed to do it, but it's quite impressive the influence that Touch Arcade has today. I remember reading an interview from the guy who created Trainyard saying that his game was only featured on iTunes after a Touch Arcade review.
Congrats.

*PS* I also prefer retro games, specially remakes or new versions of MSX, C64 and Amiga games. Would you happen to have a list of those games for the iOS?
I think someone was developing a new version of krakout for iOS:
