Nice conspiracy theory.
A lot of people thought it was $M who have had a large roll in keeping it down. I still remeber Bill Gates going on TV saying it was not possible to multitask in under 4Mb of memory
They do have a lot to loose if it gto up and running as a serios alternative to Windows. Not sure if that's as true now.
Of course that's just another conspiracy theory.
