"Tidy" Well I think that comes from the wish to make the OS as efficient and honest as possible.
Windows is shrouded in secrecy so that Microsoft always have an upper hand. Linux has a 'club' mentallity, I mean, the normal user deos not know why it is better but 'experts' tell them it is, they cannot see it for themsleves.
OSX for the Mac is better but they seem to be keeping some stuff to themsleves. Microsoft withdraw of the IE for Mac speaks volumes about their own practices. They say that they cannot compete against a browser produced by the OS developers as they will always have an advantage.
If Amiga OS4 uses Intel/AMD then, IMHO, it should be for an Amiga only designed motherboard. Some PC problems are down to hardware conflicts. It would be a shame for Amiga people to buy ultra 'cheap' PC parts and then the whole machine when assembled keeps crashing or is slower than promised. "It must be problems with the Amiga OS".
