Id rather give an Amiga away for free to someone who is going to look after it and use it. Rather than have a profiteer buy it off me.  I sold my spare A1200 to an Amiga user for what it originally cost me 10 years ago. Plus post.  Not market rates, for that very reason.

What's wrong with collecting? With your logic you could say the same about old books, comics, vinyl records, stamps, coins, antique guns, cameras, vintage radios, collectible army uniforms, WWII items and so forth.

If a collector does not actively use his antique rifle, or his old British army uniform, or does not use the vintage Kodak camera from the 60's, he should stop collecting? Should he give away his Kodak camera?

Or should a collector not be allowed to have a book about coffee tables displayed on a shelf in the living room, because it is not actively used?

A lot of of vintage computer hardware and software would not have survived hadn't it been for collectors. Same goes for other fields, such as comics, books etc.

My decades of experience with Amigas is all about use and love of use. Don't try to justify "collection for collections sake" with me buddy. My "logic" as you've tried to corrupt it has nothing to do with anything but Amiga. Understand?
