A Job for a 3D Printer
« on: October 10, 2014, 12:55:40 AM »
Just thought of a job for a 3D printer.

I have half a dozen spare modified floppy drives which have the "standard" little eject button positioned in the "standard location" on the front. They are only Panasonic and Sony so not a large range in so far as connection configuration. Replacement buttons for the Amiga 500 and A1200 to fit these drives would be a godsend.

Anyone thought of that before?  Did a quick search but couldnt find anything.

Wow, it seems such a thing exists for the Amiga 3000: http://www.shapeways.com/model/310385/amiga-3000-disk-drive-eject-button.html

The position on the 1200 and 500, will always be the same the variation will come from the floppy drive type.  But I suppose there are more popular Floppies for conversion.
