I wouldn't call it hideous, it's just not something I'd like to have sitting on my desk... 
Black shiny keyboards are the type of things that are only good for display purposes, if you actually used the thing it would very quickly become very grubby looking with oily fingerprints and dust, you'd spend more time cleaning the ruddy thing than using it...
Agree Franko. I have a glossy black Razar Tarantula Keyboard, At least it has a matte wrist rest, forever grubby and dusty to the point that I have a cleaning cloth in the drawer next to me.
I reckon it looks nice apart from that. Pity its not a "real" Amiga.
