Some rubber is just unlucky it seems. I have a NeXT monitor that the large rubber covers on the front feet just turned to mush on, very messy, had to clean it all off. Another monitor, same type, has perfectly solid feet.
Had the same thing. I don't think it is the rubber itself because It happens to odd feet on odd computers. More than likely a reaction to something like a cleaning product, spill or UV light, from ages passed. We have a hardware shop 'er called "Bunnings" that sells almost the exact same feet. (A tiny bit higher) so they shouldn't be too hard to replace. But do all 4.
