I've got to stick my oar in here.
Scottish beer? as the colloquialism goes 'Get Tae F**k!'
Quite frankly Scottish beer is dismal, its a shame as they do the best whiskey's known to man.
80' is the best of a bad bunch.
English & Belgian Beers are the way forward, with German just a gnats whisker behind.
Ireland only have Guiness, God awful Caffreys 'Cream flow' bitter, and Harp Lager (God help us all). All my family come from NI but I wouldn't drink the beer even if I'd just crawled out of a desert!
Get yourself some decent Porters, or any Adnams brewery Real Ales.
If you don't have to sieve it with your teeth as you drink, it's lemonade.  :-P
As the Pub Landlord quoteth,
'Pint of Beer for the Fella, White wine or Fruit based drink for the lady'
