Quake level editor - anybody had experience?
« on: September 16, 2008, 12:08:12 PM »
Hi guys,

I was wondering about trying to use a Quake level editor. I gather there is no 68k version, so I would need to use a pc. but my objective would be to use it to create something , maybe a simple rally level, that would run okay on a 68060 Amiga and be hopefully runnable on an 030 - so I'd obviously be looking at minimising the cpu effort.

Questions:

Is there a preferred Quake level editor?

Is it difficult to use for a non-programmer like me?

General thoughts?

Thanks for that, I'll investigate GtkRadiant.

Nobody with any experience of making Quake levels for 68K use?

Really?

You actually designed the levels on 68K, or you designed them on a PC for 68k?

I'd be interested to hear of your experiences.
