My favourite windoze editors are:
Good old
PFE - For it's template and macro functions more than anything.
And
Crimson Editor which supports loads of languages and ftp file access.
They are both free!
In linux I mostly use Kate, because it's simple. VI gives me a headache.
And on the Amiga I use notepad, Ed and Amos. I also had a simple word processor which I did alot of text editing in, but I forget what that is called.
