 :bump:

As odin says, the network had been deteriorating for a while. Nothing to do with us moving there, honest. A few months back many of the servers which made up the ZiRC network (including all the european ones) pulled out and formed synIRC. This was due to some disagreement between the Sysops and the ZiRC founder. In fact I believe this left ZiRC with just one server - now down.

I assume we'll be going back if/when the server comes back online? If not then we'll definitely be staying with synIRC - which is essentially the network we used to use (but for one server), with a different name.

Just another bump for the benefit of our weekend chatters and those we lost in the transition. We also welcome new users to come and join the channel. Find us at #amiga.org on irc.synirc.net :-D

If you don't already have an IRC client installed, follow these instructions, substituting irc.zirc.org with irc.synirc.net (unless the instructions have been updated in the meantime.) There is also a rather good CGI client if your browser supports it.

synIRC has some stats for our channel on their site.

One last thing. Although #amiga.org is often quite general chat, there's also a #coffeehouse for when it's needed. You're all welcome to lurk there too.
