I dunno if I'm confusing Bastille day with something else, but when I was in Junior School, I'm sure I remember going on a school trip to church on Bastille day each year, and we'd each have an orange with a candle in it during the service. My memory is pretty poor but it is the right time of year.

Does anyone in the UK have any idea what I'm going on about? Please help me fill in the holes in my childhood memories.

I thought oranges and candles had something to do with Easter. Heh...  :-?

Yeah, that too. But I remember the word Bastille or Bastillo or something similar being associated with this event.

I need to defragment my brain :-)
