Now this is good news I think. Maybe Samantha actually becomes our new Playmate ;-).

Hopefully this is not some April's Fool joke...

Don't get the SAM reference, all I see is Acube selling OS4 for Amigas with PPC boards.

From the press-release, as published by ACube:

 Within the framework of the partnership ACube will act as a worldwide distributor of Hyperion's Amiga OS 4.0 operating system for a range of PPC hardware platforms including AmigaOne (MicroA1, SE/XE) and Classic Amiga.

It says 'for a range of PPC hardware platforms including Amigaone....' I guess Samantha fits into 'the range'.

The way I read the statement (and maybe it is wishfull thinking) is that Acube can deliver OS4 on practically all PPC-based hardware.

So, maybe they've just signed an agreement just in case OS4 is allowed to run on Samantha (allowed by Amiga Inc that is).  

Also, I think just about none of us here knows the exact wording of the contract between Amiga Inc, Hyperion and Eyetech. I don't know the exact wording. If I knew the wording than I would still have difficulties in understanding it as I'm not a lawyer. Maybe a very clever lawyer found a tiny little hole in the agreement, just big enough to allow different PPC hardware (or atleast big enough to justify a shot at it and risk legal action by Amiga Inc).
