Hmmm... I've read the board(s) could run stand-alone as well, guess the A1200's only needed for AGA and to keep the possibility of playing hardware bashing games. So, if that's true... Why not put a bunch of ribon-cable style pin-headers where the edgeconnector should come, sell it as a standalone board and for those who really want it to slide into their 1200s there could be the possibility of even pointing to a DIY solution for the edge-connector. That way the 'plumbum' problem could be easily be avoided and... AOS4 ready hardware would be available again.
If prices do include the processor I think it's not bad value when bundled with AOS4 (OEM). Not having an A1200 I'd buy an standalone version.
Or am I totally lost in the woods and is the 1200 a neccesary piece of hardware?
