Looking for a A1200 keyboard ribbon socket
« on: January 08, 2008, 09:09:50 PM »
Hi there,
Does anyone have a faulty A1200 mainboard with a keyboard ribbon connector that can be unsoldered?

Im tinkering with the idea of making a breakout PCB for the keyboard in my A1200 in order to allow key presses to be controlled electronicially.

Thanks,
Hodgkinson.
Main A1200D: WB3.0, 3.1 ROMs, 2GB HDD, Blizzard 1230IV (64MB RAM + FPU) and a whole load of custom heatsinks... :flame:

That’s an interesting idea. The only snag is that I've got all the RF shield and HDD caddy in place, so what im thinking of is a long PCB, extending down through the RF shield to the connector (Connecting in the same way as the adaptors for PC keyboards…), with terminal blocks situated just about the RF shield for connections to external devices...and the ribbon connector soldered on the PCB at the top.
