Welcome back to the Amiga....

What ROM version does your A600 have? (Version number shown on boot screen).

Not all A600 ROM versions can access the IDE controller. You may need to buy a ROM upgrade.

What size HDD you got? For simplicity sake, 4GB is the A600 limit.

os4 is PPC only.

WB2.1 is the best bet for you.

A preinstalled Workbench like this one is the simplest solution. http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/gaae.htm

You still need WB2.1 disks to complete the install.

Be sure to partition your HDD so the 1st partition is less than 4GB
